The Appearance:
Your vulva is gorgeous. Your lips are luscious. Your color is spot on and, hair or bare, it looks great. However, when you’re pregnant, your vagina can look a bit different. Because your blood volume increases, you will have more blood flow to your vagina, blood vessels become full and your vulva can become swollen. Isn’t pregnancy beautiful?
Lightening Crotch:
Sometimes your baby can put pressure on the nerves to the cervix and the vagina. When this happens, you might feel a zinger in your crotch. Yeah, baby.
Itchiness
Ever have an itch you couldn’t scratch? If you’re pregnant, you probably have. When you’re expecting, your vagina may produce more discharge. This, coupled with a lowered immune system, may cause an overgrowth of yeast or bacteria. The perfect pair for an infection. Don’t fret! Call your doctor and let them know so you can be treated, if needed. Because mama, you don’t have time to be itchy.
Things Can Get Hairy
Your hormones are going crazy which stimulates hair growth, everywhere. Yes, even on your belly. Hot. Good news? After the baby is born, your hair growth shouldn’t slow way down.
Increased Sensitively
That increased blood flow to your genitalia not only gives you those full lips but it can also make your vulva sensitive. So, no waxing for you, unless you are brave. You may also want to stop shaving. Just let it grow, let it grow.
Queefing
Your vagina has folds and when it’s swollen, the hills and valleys are deeper and higher. And yes, that can trap air. So, let it rip ladies and be proud of your queefs. You’re pregnant.
Yes, your vagina will go through changes. But look on the bright side, you won’t have to groom your engorged girl.
